GHAZIABAD: A 15-year-old girl jumped from the 15th floor of SG Shikhar Society, located in Siddharth Vihar under Vijay Nagar police station area. Police reached the spot and took the injured girl to MMG Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
No suicide note was recovered in the matter.
ACP Kotwali Upasana Pandey stated that on Monday at around 2:15pm, police received information that a girl was injured after jumping from the 15th floor of SG Shikhar Height. The girl was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
The girl was identified as Cheenu, 15, daughter of Sanjeev Kumar.
Sanjeev Kumar stated that he lives in flat number A-2, 1502, at SG Shikhar Height Society with his daughter, son and wife. His son went to school.
A senior police officer said that Cheenu did not go to school due to an eye allergy. At the time of the incident, only Cheenu and her mother were present at home. Her mother scolded Cheenu over some matter, following which she jumped from the 15th floor. It was stated that Cheenu was studying in Class 11 at Thakur Dwara Girls College.
The ACP stated that the body has been sent for medical examination. No suicide note was found at the spot. Cheenu also did not use a mobile phone.
The forensic team has also conducted an inspection of the site. Prima facie, the girl jumped from the 15th floor after being upset over her mother's scolding. However, the matter is being investigated.
